My Personal Transformation
Yvi Duffy’s Transformation
My fitness journey began in my early 30’s. I was a huge Bravo TV fan and a reality TV watcher (junkie). They had this show called ‘Work Out” featuring this gym owner and trainer to the stars, Jackie. She was fun to watch, she was raw with her emotions. She cried with her clients, she was motivating, she pushed her team to reach their goals. Heck, she motivated me through the TV to start “working out”.
I knew nothing about health and fitness, so I started watching her on demand workouts through my cable TV provider. Then the show was can canceled and they no longer offered her on demand classes, so I joined the gym.
I met a great group of women who were supportive and caring. I was invited to join them for coffee, lunches, and I made lasting friendships- we even vacation together.
Then Covid19! For weeks, I was lost. I felt like a hamster spinning on my husband’s road bike that he placed on a trainer for me. I missed the workout variety I had at the gym.
I’ve been asked by my friends, “Why are you not back with us?” I just keep telling them, “I will always join for fun outings, but I’m hooked on MFF. Try it.”
Jill Martinez’s Transformation
I have known Mary Fulton for 15 yrs. We met at 24 hour in Long Beach, California. My hubby and I retired to Peoria, Arizona in 2019. I have been working out all my adult life, used to instruct in the 80s & 90s.
When the quarantine came last year! I just did my own workouts and found workouts on YouTube. I am not sure how Mary and I got in contact, she told me she was going to do some Facebook workouts, my hubby and I were in! We even signed up for her personal group training, which I highly recommend. The rest is history. I never had issues with weight until a few years ago. When 50s came, my body has changed, learning to embrace my 2nd act of my life. The first pic is when we first started mffquaranteam 2020. The other pics are of 2021 Mary’s workouts, her energy is amazing! Also, I love her challenges each month, keeps me motivated. If it wasn’t for Mary’s workouts, I don’t even want to think how I would be mentally and physically! I have met awesome peeps from different states/country’s.
Rita Brenner’s Transformation
My transformation was from the inside out… I knew Mary Fulton from 24 Hour fitness; Always energetic and motivating. But when the pandemic struck hard and quarantine had me in full freak out mode, it was Mary who stepped in on Facebook live, and was literally the glue that held me together during my many many days alone. Her Motivation Monday’s, Wellness Wednesday’s, allowed me to not only to be vulnerable and express my worries and fears at that time, but she taught me to routinely journal, practice gratitude, and to be grateful for the people and things that I DO HAVE. And through graciously sharing her own trials and tribulations with the group, she helped me to reflect upon things I wanted to change in my heart and soul, and to set goals I wanted to reach. Practicing gratitude and focusing inward truly put things into a new perspective for me. I started to feel change coming from the inside. I started to make change on the outside, every day. Through her monthly workout challenges, I met the most supportive, amazing people, and have made some great new lifelong friends. During the last year, we sweated it out, celebrated each other’s victories, and mourned each other’s losses – together. We helped each other get through one of the worlds worst crises. Thank you, MFF!
Carmen’s Transformation
Mary Futon (MFF) has helped me not only become more physically fit but also more mentally fit. I have worked out with Mary in the past at 24 hour fitness (Body pump was my favorite with her). If I am being honest, 2019 wasn’t a great workout year for me. So by the time COVID lockdown happened, working out was not even on my mind. But as many others experienced, my weight climbed in the first 2 months. I decided I needed to find something and was thrilled to find Mary had started a YouTube page. I started to work out with her online at the end of May but not group challenges because I was afraid it would be too hard. Mary ignited my desire to workout again! I started with body pump but dared to even try ATC and HIIT, which I avoided at the gym. I grew to love these workouts and Mary. I tell everyone there is something special about working out with Mary. She is real, she is passionate and she cares. I felt like I was working out with a friend. She shares her life with us, she is always positive and she helps with teaching us how to eat healthier. I have cried with Mary, I have learned from her and am forever grateful for the community she has created….AND yes, I finally did join a challenge in June and am currently on my 8th challenge, signed up for my 9th.
Stats: lost 18lbs in 3 months (gained 3lbs since but have maintained!), 1.5” off my biceps, 1” off my hips, 2” of my thighs, and 6.2” of my waist!
I highly suggest you stop by Mary’s new channel and see if you think she is as charismatic and motivational as I do. Don’t be afraid…start slow and you can always ask her questions (YES! Rachel Valdez’s Transformation
For the past two years Mary has been a HUGE influence in my life workout wise. Some months ago she got me into meal prepping, but I wasn’t as committed as I planned on being! I had little knowledge of what portion control was. I really wanted to lose a few pounds and live a healthy lifestyle so I decided to try after seeing Mary’s AMAZING results! “I’ve always been an active person who enjoys working out; however, those opportunities seem to be less and less now that my kids are in a million activities. I really needed a program that is flexible to fit into my crazy lifestyle. I’m currently in my 5th week with Hammer and Chisel and I love it! I can do the workouts before the kids get up or in the evening after work. In the past, I’ve stuck to cardio and never incorporated lifting into my workouts. My body is getting stronger and more toned as a result of the lifting. I’ve trained for marathons and haven’t seen results like this! The nutrition is really a huge part of my success.
